July 2002 – - MAST was recently awarded another multi-million dollar modification to its existing NAVY contract for the SMAW program. MAST drop ships magazines to Talley Defenses Systems of Mesa, AZ.
Production of 40mm is well underway. MAST believes that it will finish base contract on time. FAAT results had MAST shooting a 2.4 Standard deviation for a required 4.5 SD. MAST believes that is the lowest SD fired for an FAAT and possibly LAT.
MAST is supporting Polytech Ammunition of Louisiana with Ammunition machinery in their efforts to make plastic case ammunition.
